Spectrum's Activism Corner has previously involved discussions every other week to explore topics surrounding activism, equity, anti-racism, etc. as these topics pertain to our board and to theatre at NU. Stay tuned for future Activism Corner events!

About the event
In our first, internal Activism Corner, Spectrum evaluated ourselves using the racial equity assessment provided by the Race Matters Institute (https://viablefuturescenter.org/racematters.../assessment-2/). We placed ourselves between “race-tentative” and “equity-focused,” and established goals for our board in order to push ourselves to meet more of the equity-focused guidelines. Building off of this assessment, Spectrum invites NU community members to join us in interrogating how we can combat racism as a board and within our larger theatre community.
